SURG FM is now live on 91.5FM!

Tune in NOW – on your iPod, in your car, on your 1970s transistor…and don’t forget to spread the word

Day 1 of broadcasting for Semester 2 has been a great success and we look forward to 2 whole weeks of quality radio entertainment.

Michael Koziol

PresidentSURG FM

SURG FM is back – and better than ever before – live from the NEW HOLME STUDIO!

SURG will be on the air on 91.5FM from Saturday 28th August, and live from Monday 30th – throughout the whole Verge Arts Festival at the University of Sydney.

The draft programme is now up, with a particularly talented crew ready to take on the airwaves.

The new studio phone number is: 02 9114 0900 – call in any time but be prepared to be on the radio!

Please tell your friends and spread the word – we are on for two weeks only and we want to make the most of it!

Good luck,

Michael Koziol

President – SURG FM

To 90.9FM for two more weeks, as we continue to showcase some of the best radio talent Sydney University has to offer. Everybody is doing a fantastic job so far, so let’s all keep the energy and ingenuity up for the next two weeks and create some of the best broadcasting SURG has ever seen!

In other news, a handful of SURG members were fortunate enough to make an appearance on the Tom & Alex breakfast show last Friday (26th Feb) – as part of a flash mob of freshers invited in to the studio at the ABC. Only SURG gives you the opportunity to connect with the radio industry, so look out for more such invites and special events in the near future.

Have fun,

Michael Koziol

We’re on the air! Tune in to 90.9FM all through O-Week and beyond!!

There are a few teething problems with the transmitter – if you are unable to get a clear signal in your area, please try again very soon, it just needs to be fine tuned.

It’s SURG! Back to try our hand at radio again in 2010, and we will be broadcasting live from O-Week and through Weeks 1-3 at the one and only University of Sydney campus.

Remember to visit our stall at O-Week to register, buy a T-shirt, mingle, reminisce, and find a time slot for your show. If you’re new to Sydney University (and have somehow stumbled across this website), then good for you. We’ll be amongst the many, many O-Week stalls blasting classic SURG moments from a tinny old portable radio. Come find us!

Updates to come as Semester 1 approaches – in the mean time be sure to join the mailing list by going to the “Contact” tab and joining the SURG Google Group.
